53. Timing Belt Rear Cover Installation

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the knock sensor and camshaft sensor wires are routed correctly before installing cover.





1. Install rear timing belt cover.
2. Coat threaded pin with Loctite (R) 5900 thread locking compound (or equivalent).
3. Install rear timing belt cover bolts.
- Torque: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
4. Install rear timing belt thread pin.
- Torque: l0 Nm (89 inch lbs.)





5. Re-tighten the oil pump bolts.
- Torque: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
