Center Connector Duct

1. Gently pull on left and right side console extensions to remove extensions.

On power windows




2. Using a small flat blade tool, gently pry upward on rear portion of the power window switch to partially disengage switch from console.
3. Disconnect power window switch harness from switch and remove power window switch.




4. Disengage console park brake boot by squeezing the boot in while pulling upward.
5. Lift park brake boot over park brake assembly.




6. Remove front console tray by pulling upward on tray assembly.
7. Disconnect console wiring harness from main body harness.

On automatic transmissions




8. Pull up on PRNDL cover to disengage cover.

On 5-speed transmissions




9. Pull up on shifter boot to disengage boot.




10. Move front seats to forward most position and remove console rear fasteners.
11. Move front seats to rearward most position and remove console front fasteners.
12. Gently lift console up and over shifter or PRNDL cover and remove console assembly.




13. Remove lip bracket.




14. Remove connector duct retaining screw.
15. Pull connector duct downward and then rearward to remove from HVAC module.

INSTALLATION




1. Push connector duct adapters completely up onto main duct.
2. Install connector duct onto HVAC module.
3. Install connector duct to HVAC module screw.

Torque: 1 N.m (9 in-lbs)

4. Pull both legs of connector duct down to seal against the left and right rear seat heater ducts.




5. Install I/P bracket.

Torque: 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs)




6. Position console into vehicle. Route shifter/PRNDL boot through console opening.
7. Install console front fasteners.

Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)

8. Move front seats forward and install console rear fasteners.

Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)

On automatic transmissions




9. Snap PRNDL cover into console opening.

On 5-speed transmissions




10. Snap shifter boot into console opening.
11. Connect console wiring harness to main body harness.




12. Snap console front tray into console.

On power windows




13. Connect power window harness to power window switch and snap switch into place.




14. Snap park brake boot into place.




15. Install console extensions.
