Head Degas Hose


REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant. (Refer to "Draining Coolant".)
3. Remove head degas hose to surge tank clamp and remove hose from surge tank.





4. Remove head degas hose from UHJB clamps.





5. Remove hose from harness clamp.
6. Remove wiring harness from clamp.
7. Remove wiring harness bracket to intake manifold bolt.
8. Disconnect fuel injector inline connector.
9. Remove head degas hose to head degas pipe clamp and remove head degas hose.

INSTALLATION





1. Install and position head degas hose to head degas pipe and surge tank fitting.





2. Install head degas hose to surge tank clamp at 1 o'clock position.
3. Install head degas hose to head degas pipe clamp at 2 o'clock position.





4. Install head degas hose into UHFB clamps.
5. Connect fuel injector inline connector.
6. Install wiring harness bracket to manifold bolt.
^ Torque: 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.)
7. Install wiring harness into harness clamp.
8. Install head degas hose into clamp.





9. Connect negative battery cable.
^ Torque: 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.)
10. Fill cooling system. (Refer to "Coolant Replacement".)
11. Use fresh water to rinse away coolant that was spilled during service.
