Intermittent Conditions
An intermittent problem may or may not set a diagnostic trouble code. If it is an intermittent failure, a Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart is not used. Consult the Diagnostic Aids and the diagnostic chart corresponding to the intermittent diagnostic trouble code. Also, refer to the symptom. A physical/visual inspection of the applicable sub-system most often will resolve the problem. Use of the customer snap-shot and Scan tool snap-shot may isolate the malfunction.
