Instrument Panel Upper Trim Plate Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the left side I/P lower closeout panel, hush panel, retainers and let the closeout panel, hush panel, hang loose.




2. Remove the I/P filler, knee bolster, by pulling at the attaching clip locations.




3. Remove the steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover.
4. Move steering wheel to lowest position.




5. Remove the upper and lower I/P cluster trim plate fasteners and remove the trim plate.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the I/P cluster trim plate with fasteners.

Tighten the I/P cluster trim plate-to-I/P housing fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).





2. Install the steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover.




3. Position the I/P filler, knee bolster to the instrument panel and push at the attaching clip locations to secure the filler to I/P.




4. Install the I/P left lower I/P closeout panel, hush panel, with retainers.
5. Reposition the steering wheel.
