Wiring Cautions

CAUTION:
- FAILING TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
- ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY (GROUND) LEAD WHEN REPLACING COMPONENTS ON A VEHICLE.
- REMOVE RINGS, WATCHES AND ALL OTHER JEWELRY
- WHEN WORKING AROUND THE BATTERY, ALWAYS SHIELD YOUR EYES. AVOID LEANING OVER THE BATTERY IF POSSIBLE.
- DO NOT ALLOW BATTERY FLUID TO CONTACT EYES, SKIN, FABRICS OR PAINTED SURFACES; BATTERY FLUID IS A CORROSIVE ACID. FLUSH ANY CONTACTED AREA WITH WATER IMMEDIATELY AND THOROUGHLY AND GET MEDICAL HELP.
- BE CAREFUL THAT METAL TOOLS OR JUMPER CABLES DO NOT CONTACT THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (OR METAL IN CONTACT WITH TERMINAL) AND ANY OTHER METAL ON THE VEHICLE; A SHORT COULD OCCUR.
- DO NOT EXPOSE A BATTERY TO OPEN FLAMES OR SPARKS (INCLUDING LIT TOBACCO). BATTERIES PRODUCE A GAS WHICH IS FLAMMABLE AND EXPLOSIVE.
- NEVER WEAR LOOSE OR BAGGY CLOTHING AROUND MOVING MACHINERY. REMOVE TIES AND ANY HANGING JEWELRY, AND TIE BACK LONG HAIR.
