2000 Model Year Paint Information
The listings of 2000 paint codes contained in this bulletin enables Retailers to order the necessary paint materials required for proper field repairs. The list of colors indicates the supplier's ordering codes for exterior and interior colors.
All Saturn vehicles built at the Spring Hill, Tennessee and Wilmington, Delaware manufacturing facilities are painted with a base coat/clearcoat paint process.
Materials that are approved for use to refinish Saturn vehicles are contained in the "GM Approved Refinish Materials" guide, part number GM4901M-D-99 (GM49O1M-D-F-99 for French), which is available from GM. To request a copy of this guide call (800) 269-5100. Saturn does not endorse, indicate any particular preference for or assume any responsibility for the products or manufacturers listed in the "GM Approved Refinish Materials" guide. Only the brands and specific material systems listed in the "GM Approved Refinish Materials" guide may be used in strict accordance with material application specifications as specified by the approved listed refinish material suppliers. All technical data sheets and technical support is available from the refinish material suppliers to your facility.
The Service Parts Identification (SPID) label, illustrated in this bulletin, is located on the spare tire cover. This label contains the paint codes needed to identify the paint materials for field repairs. This label identifies the paint code along with the WA# for that paint code. It is important to use this WA# along with the paint code to identify the correct repair materials. Care should be taken to transfer the SPID label, or its information, if the panel to which the label is affixed requires replacement. Replacement SPID labels are not available.
