STEEL AND PA + PPE AND SMC RIGID PLASTIC

1. Wash the damaged panel and surrounding areas with water and a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and let dry.
2. Clean the panel with PPG DD837 Acryli-Clean(TM) or equivalent.
3. Repair all damaged areas.
4. Sand the entire panel with 240 grade sandpaper.
5. Clean all sanded areas with PPG D846 Multi-Prep Cleaner or equivalent to remove sanding residue.
6. Use an air blow gun to remove all dirt from the cracks and surfaces of the vehicle.
7. Apply one coat of DP9OLF Epoxy Primer or equivalent primer over all bare metal areas. Use 40 - 50 psi of air pressure at the gun.
8. Allow 30 minutes dry time before applying primer surfacer.
9. Apply two or three medium wet coats of D839 Acrylic Urethane Primer Surfacers or equivalent to component primer surfacer.
10. Apply a light guide coat over the primer. Over reduced (150 percent to 200 percent) conventional primer surfacers will work well as a guide coat.
11. Allow the two component primers to dry for 1 1/4 hours, under normal conditions, before sanding. Wet sand with 400 grade (or finer) sandpaper or dry sand with 320 grade (or finer) sandpaper. Use the guide coat as an indicator to locate imperfections which need to be sanded out.
