Three Door Coupe (RAD) Quarter Glass

THREE DOOR COUPE (RAD) QUARTER GLASS

NOTE:
- Place protective covers on body to prevent paint damage.
- To protect paint from damage, tape door panel along/under quarter glass encapsulation using thick tape.

REMOVAL




1. Open door and disengage the clips for the quarter glass garnish molding and remove.




2. Disengage clips for rear side door opening frame upper rear blackout filler and remove.




3. Remove rear side door lower trim panel.




4. Remove retaining bolts from window.
5. Remove window from door by applying outward pressure to inside of window. If difficult, use heat gun around window edges to soften butyl-tape.

INSTALLATION

1. If using existing window, remove all old butyl -tape from both the glass and the pinchweld area with a scraper or appropriate tool.
2. Remove butyl-tape residue with a general purpose adhesive cleaner.
3. Clean the glass to be installed with a glass cleaner.
4. Position butyl ribbon sealer in the pinchweld area of the body opening.
5. With the glass at room temperature, align the glass with the body opening and the bead of butyl ribbon sealer. Press the glass into position.
6. Use firm hand pressure around the glass perimeter to assure a good seal between the glass and the butyl ribbon sealer.
7. Install retaining bolts in order as shown. Torque as specified.

Torque:
Rear Access Door Quarter Glass Attachment Bolts: 2 N.m (18 in.lbs)


8. Close doors and water test window to ensure no water leaks are present.




9. Install rear side door lower trim panel.




10. Install rear side door opening frame upper rear blackout filler. Engage clips by pushing molding at the clip locations.




11. Install quarter window garnish molding. Engage clips by pushing the molding at the clip locations.
12. Close door.
