Battery Replacement

REMOVAL

IMPORTANT: Record pre-set radio stations.





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect positive battery cable.





3. Remove battery insulating cover.
4. Remove battery hold down bracket.

CAUTION: DO NOT TIP BATTERY OVER 45 DEGREE ANGLE OR ACID COULD SPILL.

5. Remove battery.

INSTALLATION

1. Verify battery tray is clean.
2. Install battery.
3. Install battery hold down bracket.

Torque: 9 N.m (80 ft-lbs)

NOTE: Battery life is reduced if battery insulating cover is not used.

4. Install battery insulating cover.
5. Verify battery cable ends are clean and free of corrosion. (Clean with wire brush.)
6. Connect positive battery cable.

Torque: 17 N.m (13 ft-lbs)

7. Connect negative battery cable.

Torque: 17 N.m (13 ft-lbs)

IMPORTANT: Set clock and radio pre-set stations.
