Cleaning Parts

Removing cured RTV from parts is best accomplished by scraping the sealer with a dull scraper, wire brush, Scotch-Brite pad and disk (3M Clean-N Stripe 2 inch D x 1/2 inch W x 1/4 inch center hole).
RTV must always be removed from all bolt holes, particularly blind holes where the bolt can bottom out on RTV and strip the threads.
