The following models are affected if equipped with P/N 22722705, 22722992, or remanufactured P/N 22711669:
2003 Saturn ION vehicles built up to and including VIN 3Z201656
2002-2003 Saturn VUE vehicles built up to and including VIN 3S905693
2000-2003 Saturn L-Series vehicles
2000-2002 Saturn S-Series vehicles

Purpose:
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide information on the changes to the U1C AM/FM Stereo CD radio on-board diagnostic modes and CD load operation. The U1C radio contains a menu of options used for diagnosing audio system concerns. This menu is known as the On Board Diagnostic Mode. Changes to the diagnostic menu shown.

Important:
The Service Manual may refer to a diagnostic mode that may no longer be available on this radio. The CD button can no longer be used to reload the CD. The CD can either be physically reinserted into the radio or the CD will reload automatically after 15 seconds.
