Camshaft Cover Removal - Left Side






1. Remove the oil filler tube (1) from the LH side camshaft cover by unlocking tab and twisting counterclockwise.
2. Remove coil cassette bolts.
3. Remove coil cassette.
4. Remove the camshaft cover bolts (2).
5. Remove and discard the camshaft cover grommets and camshaft cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.
6. Remove the camshaft cover (4).

Important: Ensure that all eight sealing O-rings (3) are accounted for.
- O-rings may stick to the camshaft bearing caps or they may fall into the oil return journals of the cylinder head.

7. Remove the camshaft cover seals.
