Cylinder Head Disassemble

Tools Required
- J 8062 Valve Spring Compressor
- J 41774 Valve Spring Compressor Adapter

1. Remove the lifters. Place the lifters sequentially in a rack so they can be installed in their original order, if being reused.






2. Use J 8062 and J 41774 to compress the valve springs.






3. Remove the valve stem keys (2).
4. Remove the cap (3) from the valve stem.
5. Remove the valve spring (4).
6. Remove the valve seal (5).
7. Remove the valve spring seat (6) from the cylinder head.
8. Remove the valves (7). Place the valves sequentially in a rack so they can be installed in their original order, if being reused.
