C0896 - SYSTEM HIGH/LOW VOLTAGE









DTC PARAMETERS
DTC C0896 will set if the battery voltage drops below 9.4 volts or exceeds 17.4 volts while vehicle speed is above 4 mph.
When DTC C0896 sets:
^ The ABS telltale will be On.
^ The ABS control module will disable ABS, TCS, and DRP.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS

IMPORTANT: If battery voltage returns to normal levels (9.4 - 17.4 volts) within the same ignition cycle, the ABS control module will enable ABS/TCS/DRP and will turn the ABS telltale Off. An open in circuit 1008 or 702 will NOT set this DTC.
Use the Scan tool to observe battery voltage display.
