65. Lower Oil Pan Installation
Lower Oil Pan Installation
1. Install the oil level sensor to the oil pan (If removed).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
2. Install the oil level sensor bolts. Tighten the oil level sensor bolts until fully seated. Do not strip the oil level sensor bolts.
3. Install the oil pan gasket.
4. Install the oil level sensor wire electrical connector to the upper oil pan and secure with the C-clip (1).
5. Install the lower oil pan to the upper oil pan.
6. Install the lower oil pan bolts. Tighten the lower oil pan bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb in).
