2000-2003 L-Series and 2002-2003 Saturn VUE vehicles with 3.0L Engine (VIN R - RPO L81)

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide updated service information on the use of the Crank Hub Holding Tool J-42065 for removal and installation of the Crank Hub Bolt. The current art in the service manuals identified below showing 2 bolts attaching the tool to the crank hub is incorrect. The art in this bulletin showing 3 bolts attaching the tool to the crank hub is the correct art that should be used to prevent tool breakage. Please obtain all 2000 Saturn L-Series (L81) Engine Revised, 2001 Saturn L-Series (L81) Engine, 2002-2003 Saturn L-Series Engine and
2002-2003 Saturn VUE Engine Service Manuals and make the updates as indicated below:
1. Make photocopies of the art in this bulletin.
2. Insert art as described below.
