Front Side Door Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the inner front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Remove the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip).
4. Remove the lower window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
5. Run the window up to half way.
6. Remove the rear most regulator attachment bolt.
7. Pull the rear most regulator arm up and above the door structure into the door opening.
8. Remove the window by tilting the rear of the window upward and sliding up and out.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the window glass by tilting the rear of the glass upward and sliding down and into the regulator channel.
2. Move the window to the down position.
3. Install the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip).
4. Run the window to the up position.
5. Install the lower window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
6. Push the glass rearward to the seat in the rear window run channel to bring pressure against the rear channel and tighten the rear most regulator attachment bolt.
Tighten the rear window regulator bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
7. Disconnect the window switch.
8. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
9. Install the front inner door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
10. Operate the window to inspect the operation. If binding exists, inspect all of the weatherstrips and adjust as necessary.
