Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Sedan/Wagon) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Sedan/Wagon))Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Coupe) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Coupe)) .




2. Remove the fascia support. Refer to Fascia Support Replacement (Fascia Support Replacement) .




3. Remove the fog lamps, if equipped.
4. Remove the tow hook bracket to the impact bar stud nut. The remaining stud can be pushed into the bar for the bar removal.




5. Remove the impact bar to spaceframe attachment nuts.
6. Remove the impact bar.



Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Position the impact bar to the spaceframe. Install the attaching nuts.

Tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

2. Install the nut to stud attaching the tow hook to the impact bar.

Tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft.).





3. Install the fog lamps, if equipped.




4. Install the fascia support. Refer to Fascia Support Replacement (Fascia Support Replacement) .




5. Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Sedan/Wagon) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Sedan/Wagon))Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Coupe) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Coupe)) .
