^ J42059 Cigar Lighter Removal Tool

REMOVAL




1. Remove 20 A LIGHTER fuse:
1.1 Remove right lower trim panel extension by pulling outward at dual lock location.
1.2 Rotate panel outward to disengage from console.
1.3 Remove fuse.




2. Obtain Cigar Lighter Removal Tool J42059.




3. Lift tether cap from cigar lighter receptacle.
4. Locate two small square holes in receptacle.
5. Hole J42059 at a 300 degree angle as it is inserted into the receptacle.
6. Position one end of T end of J42059 in one hole, then the other hole. A slight resistance will be felt as the second end is inserted into the hole.
7. Pull receptacle straight out.
8. Disengage retaining tabs and disconnect power outlet connector.

INSTALLATION




1. Position tether cap retaining ring, trim ring, and power outlet receptacle assembly at console.
2. Connect power outlet electrical connector.
3. Install power outlet assembly into console.
4. Install 20 A LIGHTER fuse.
5. Install lower right panel extension.
5.1 Insert hinges into console openings.
5.2 Rotate panels towards I/P retainer and press firmly to engage dual lock.
6. Check for proper operation.
