Service Procedure

NOTICE:
Only replace one nut and stud at a time. Therefore, it is not necessary to support the powertrain.

IMPORTANT:
Loctite 242(R) or equivalent is not required on studs during installation.





1. Remove one engine mount to front cover nut and discard.

2. Remove stud and discard.

3. Install one new stud.

Torque:

Engine Mount Stud: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)

IMPORTANT:
Install ground strap to stud on intake manifold side before installing new nut.

4. Install new nut.

Torque:

Engine Mount Nut: 50 N.m (37 ft-lbs)

5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 for remaining studs and nuts.

6. Affix Campaign Completion Label on a clean and dry surface of radiator core support, in an area clearly visible when hood is raised. (For more information, refer to "Campaign Completion Label".)

CAMPAIGN COMPLETION LABEL





Upon completion of the campaign, a Campaign Completion Label and a Clear Protective Cover should be affixed on a clean, dry surface of the radiator core support in an area clearly visible when the hood is raised. Each label provides a space to print in ink (or type) the campaign number (01 C08) and the five (5) digit facility code of the Retailer performing the campaign service.

As a reminder, additional labels may be ordered from Saturn publications (1-800-828-2112, prompt 3, Item # 50300013A for the Campaign Completion Label, and item # S0300013B for the Clear Protective Cover).
