SPARK PLUGS

REMOVAL

IMPORTANT: Before removing the spark plugs, make sure water and other debris in the spark plug wells are blown out.

1. Remove spark plug wire connector position assurance (CPA) attachment nuts and CPA.
2. Twist boot to break any bonding. Gently pull spark plug boots off of spark plugs.

IMPORTANT:
^ Do not use a flexible extension socket to remove spark plugs. Damage could occur to the spark plug insulator.
^ Use only a spark plug socket that has a rubber insert to hold the spark plug in place. The spark plug porcelain may crack if a deep well socket without a rubber insert is used.

3. Remove spark plugs.
