Front Seat Recliner Actuator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
2. Remove the seat back pad/cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).




3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the actuator motor to the seat back power recliner.




4. Remove the pal nut from the recliner actuator shaft.




5. Partially remove the shaft, then remove the recliner motor fasteners and the recliner actuator motor.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the recliner actuator motor and the fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 6 Nm (53 lb in).




2. Install the actuator shaft to the seat back recliner and secure with the pal nut.




3. Connect the electrical connections to the actuator motor on the seat back power recliner.
4. Install the seat back pad and cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).




5. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
