Engine Assembly Removal From Cradle (Manual Transaxle)

ENGINE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL FROM CRADLE (MANUAL TRANSAXLE)





The transaxle is left mounted firmly in the cradle during removal.
1. Attach engine lift hoist to engine lift hooks.





2. Place a (1 3/4 inch x 2 inch x 4 inch) and a (1 1/4 inch x 2 inch x 4 inch) long block of wood under the transaxle housing for support.





NOTICE: Manual transaxles require the engine to be moved approximately 100 mm (4 inch) forward in cradle for input shaft disengagement.

3. Remove transaxle bell housing attachment bolts.
4. Carefully lift engine assembly from cradle and mount it on an engine stand for repairs or on a transportation pallet.

IMPORTANT: Before shipment all fluids must be drained for engine, and all openings plugged or capped.
