Rear Door Lock Rod and Bell Crank

REMOVAL




1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector carefully by peeling back the edges.




3. Remove speaker (to allow access to recover retainer pin).

IMPORTANT: Place rag inside door cavity to catch retainer pin from bell crank removal.




4. Use an awl to force bell crank retaining pin out (toward outside of door).
5. Remove bell crank pivot.
6. Unhook lock rods from bell crank.




7. Roll window up.
8. Remove rear window run channel.




9. Remove rear lock rod from latch mechanism.

INSTALLATION




1. Install rear lock rod to latch mechanism.




2. Install rear window run channel and tighten bolts.

Torque:
Rear Window Run Channel Bolts: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)




3. Hook lock rods to bell crank pivot.
4. Install bell crank and pivot pin.




5. Remove rag from speaker area.
6. Install speaker.

IMPORTANT: Replace water deflector if damaged.




7. Install water deflector to previous holes and position.
8. Verify correct operation of rear door lock rod.
9. Install door trim panel.
