Seat Cushion Frame Replacement (w/ Drawstring)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
2. Remove the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner))Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer)).
3. Remove the outer finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner))Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer)).




4. Remove the recliner fasteners.
5. Remove the seat back assembly.




6. Remove the seat cover J-strip from the seat frame at the back of the cushion.




7. If the vehicle is equipped with a heated seat, disconnect the heated seat wiring connector from the seat frame harness.




8. Remove the fasteners and remove the seat cushion frame from the seat adjuster.
9. Untie the drawstring from the seat cushion frame and remove the frame from the cover and pad.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the seat cushion frame to the cover and pad.
2. Tie the drawstring to the seat cushion frame.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the frame to the seat adjuster and install the fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).




4. Connect the heated seat wiring connector to the seat frame harness.




5. Install the seat cushion cover J-strip to the seat frame at the back of the cushion.




6. Install the seat back assembly and install the recliner fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

7. Install the outer finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner))Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer)).
8. Install the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Inner))Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement (Outer)).
9. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
