59. Drive Belt Tensioner Installation

DRIVE BELT TENSIONER (UNIT REPAIR)

INSTALLATION





1. Install belt tensioner to engine.
2. Install belt tensioner bolts.
Torque:
Belt Tensioner Bolts: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
3. Install A/C compressor bracket.
Torque:
A/C Compressor Bracket Bolt: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
4. Install A/C compressor.
Torque:
A/C Compressor Bolts: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
5. Install generator.
Torque:
Generator Mounting Bolts: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)





6. Install belt to accessory drive pulleys.
7. Use a wrench on the center bolt of tensioner pulley and rotate downward to install belt to tensioner.
8. Tighten water pump pulley bolts.
Torque:
Water Pump Pulley Bolt: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
9. Tighten power steering pump pulley bolts.
Torque:
Power Steering Pump Pulley Bolt: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
