DISABLING THE FRONTAL AND CURTAIN INFLATORS





1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn ignition switch to the OFF position and remove key.
3. Remove IGN I mini-fuse from under hood fuse block.

Disabling the Frontal Inflators
4. Remove lower left I/P closeout panel.





5. Push out clips that secure the driver and passenger inflator module (YEL 2-way) connectors to UP panel brace.
6. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainers.
7. Disconnect both (YEL 2-way) connectors.





Disabling the Curtain Inflators
8. Remove C-pillar trim on both the left and right side of the vehicle.
8.1 Remove rear seat shoulder belt cover to expose shoulder belt fastener.
8.2 Remove shoulder belt fastener and shoulder belt.
8.3 Fold down rear seat back.
8.4 Route shoulder belt out of C-pillar trim access slot.
8.5 Remove C-pillar trim assembly by pulling gently at C-pillar clip locations.





9. Remove CPA retainer.
10. Disconnect left and right curtain inflator module (YEL. 2-way) connectors.

ENABLING THE FRONTAL AND CURTAIN INFLATORS
1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are poked straight ahead.
2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and remove key.
3. Connect the left and right curtain inflator module (YEL 2-way) connectors.
4. Install CPA retainers.





5. Install C-pillar trim on both left and right sides of the vehicle.
5.1 Position C-pillar trim to vehicle.
5.2 Install C-pillar trim by pushing gently at clip locations.

CAUTION: APPLY LOCTITE 24249 (OR EQUIVALENT) ON ALL RESTRAINT FASTENERS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.

5.3 Install rear shoulder belt to C-pillar.
Torque:
Rear Shoulder Belt-to-C-Pillar: 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
5.4 Install rear shoulder belt fastener cover.
5.5 Route shoulder belt into C-pillar trim at access slot.
5.6 Fold up rear seat back.
5.7 Operate rear seat shoulder belt to verify function.





6. Connect both the driver and passenger inflator module (YEL 2-way) connectors.
7. Install CPA retainers.
8. Fasten clips on yellow 2-way connectors to I/P panel brace.
9. Install IGNI mini-fuse in under hood fuse block.
10. Turn ignition On and verify AIR BAG telltale operates properly.
11. Install lower left I/P closeout panel.
