36. Transaxle Oil Cooler Line Seals Removal

TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER LINE SEALS REMOVAL

IMPORTANT: Do not collapse the seal more than 1/8" (3 mm). The removal tool requires two underformed opposing edges to work.





1. Use a long chisel with a 1/4" blade (or equivalent tool) to partially collapse the seal in one place only.





2. Clamp Cooler Line Seal Remover/Installer J41239 onto the transaxle cooler line seal on the outside of the case bore.
3. Remove transaxle cooler line seal by prying and rotating the seal out of the case with the attached tool.
4. Clamp Cooler Line Seal Remover/Installer J41239 onto the transaxle cooler line seal on the outside of the case bore.
5. Remove transaxle cooler line seal by rotating and prying the transaxle cooler line seal out of the case with the attached tool.
