56. Oil Pump Assembly Cleaning and Inspection

OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY CLEANING AND INSPECTION
1. Inspect bearing on flange for excessive wear or damage.





2. Inspect machined surfaces for scratches or nicks that may cause a fluid leak.

IMPORTANT: While flushing, rotate oil pump rotor with oil pump drive shaft. Rotating fluid through oil pump flushes clean fluid through oil pump.

3. Thoroughly flush oil pump with clean transaxle fluid through pump inlet and outlet passages.
4. Drain excess fluid from oil pump assembly.
