40. Oil Pan Clean and Inspect

OIL PAN CLEAN AND INSPECT (UNIT REPAIR)





- Clean oil pan mating surface.
- Clean oil pan. Remove all sludge and oil deposits.
- Inspect threads for the engine oil drain plug.
- Inspect oil pan for cracking near pan rail and transmission mounting points.
- Inspect oil pan for cracking resulting from impact or flying road debris.
- Repair or replace oil pan as necessary.
