17. Camshaft Removal

CAMSHAFT (UNIT REPAIR)

REMOVAL





1. Remove camshaft bearing cap bolts using loosening sequence.

NOTICE: Camshaft bearing caps are marked with an "L" or an "R" followed by a number. The caps marked with an "L" are on the rear Bank 1 cylinder head. The caps marked with an "R" are on the front Bank 2 cylinder head. DO NOT interchange the caps or damage to the cylinder head and/or camshafts may result.

2. Remove camshaft bearing caps.
3. Remove camshaft seals.
