Finish Panel Replacement - Rear Window (Coupe)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the coathooks for the 1st design vehicles only.
2. Unsnap the seat belt bolt covers.
3. Loosen the Torx(R) fasteners and rotate the presenter arms forward to disengage the presenter arm guide notches from the spaceframe.
4. Remove the presenter arms and the seat belt units. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front (Coupe) in Seat Belts.
5. For the 1st design vehicles only:, Disengage the rear clips of the windshield garnish moldings by pulling the moldings at the clip location to allow the removal of the quarter window garnish moldings.
6. Remove the quarter window garnish upper moldings. Refer to Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 1st Design) (Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 1st Design))Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 2nd Design) (Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 2nd Design)). Refer to the following:
* Defogger Lead (1)
* Defogger Notch (2)
* Interlock Tab (3)
7. Lower the rear seat back.
8. Remove the top tether anchor covers.
9. Remove the push pin rivets and lift the rear window trim up and over the top tether anchors.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear window trim finish panel in place with the push pin rivets.
2. Install the top tether anchor covers.
3. Install the quarter window garnish moldings. Refer to Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 1st Design) (Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 1st Design))Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 2nd Design) (Quarter Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe Left Side 2nd Design)). Refer to the following:
* Defogger Lead (1)
* Defogger Notch (2)
* Interlock Tab (3)
4. Raise the rear seat back.
5. For 1st design vehicles only, engage the rear clip of the windshield garnish molding by pushing at the clip location.
Caution: Observe the orientation of the seat belt unit and presenter arm assembly. Incorrect orientation may result in personal injury.
6. Install the presenter arms and seat belt units. (Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front (Coupe) in Seat Belts.
7. Install the coathooks for the 1st design vehicles only. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement (1st Design) (Coat Hook Replacement (1st Design))Coat Hook Replacement (2nd Design) (Coat Hook Replacement (2nd Design)) in Seat Belts.
