Cylinder Head Assembly

Install New cylinder head bolts
Tighten the cylinder head bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) plus 155°.





Install the NEW front cylinder head bolts.
Tighten the front cylinder head bolts to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).





Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head Nut 14 Nm (124 inch lbs.)
Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.

Camshaft Sprocket Bolt
First Pass 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.)
Final Pass 30°

Intake Manifold to Cylinder Head Bolt 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)

Cylinder Head Deck Surface Flatness - Transverse 0.030 mm (0.0012 inch)
Cylinder Head Deck Surface Flatness - Longitude 0.050 mm (0.002 inch)
Cylinder Head Deck Surface Flatness - Overall 0.08 mm (0.0031 inch)
Throttle Body Bolt 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
Throttle Body Nut 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
Throttle Body Stud 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.)

Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts in increments of three turns until they are seated.
Tighten the camshaft bearing caps to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
