Service Manual Update for VT25E (Vti) Transmission Fluid Pump Pressure Relief Valve

Purpose:





The pressure relief valve located on the automatic transaxle fluid pump assembly is no longer a serviceable component and should NOT be removed from the pump assembly at any time. The relief valve is only available as part of the complete pump assembly. If the relief valve is removed for any reason, the pump MUST be replaced.

The Fluid Pump Disassemble and Assemble Procedures in the 2002-2003 VUE and 2003 ION Transaxle Service Manuals have illustrations that incorrectly show the relief valve removed and include steps to remove the valve. Please obtain these service manuals and update the Fluid Pump Disassemble and Assemble Procedures with this new information. Future Service Stall System SI CD releases will include these service manual updates.
