52. Rear Internal Gear Assembly Assemble
Rear Internal Gear Assembly Assemble^ Tools Required
- J 45185 Bore Gage Set
Important: Measure at different locations and average the measurement. If the average measurement is not within specifications, replace the rear internal gear bushing.
1. Using the J 45185, measure the inner diameter of the rear internal gear bushing (542).
2. Use a micrometer to measure J 45185 reading. Refer to Front Carrier, Gear Bushing, ID in Transmission Clearance Specifications.
Important: Measure at different locations and average the measurement. If the average measurement is not within specifications, replace the front sun gear bushing.
3. Using the J 45185, measure the inner diameter of the front sun gear bushing (544).
4. Use a micrometer to measure J 45185 reading. Refer to Front Carrier, Front Sun Gear Bushing, ID in Transmission Clearance Specifications.
Important: Measure at different locations and average the measurement. If the average measurement is not within specifications, replace the rear sun gear bushing.
5. Using the J 45185, measure the inner diameter of the rear sun gear bushing (539).
6. Use a micrometer to measure J 45185 reading. Refer to Front Carrier, Rear Sun Gear Bushing, ID in Transmission Clearance Specifications.
7. Install the front sun gear (544) into the front carrier assembly (542).
8. Install the front sun gear retaining ring (541) into the groove of the front sun gear (544).
