Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure




1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the drivers side wiring harness clip from the rear compartment hinge.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear shelf panel.




4. If the rear compartment lid is to be reinstalled, mark the location of the hinges relative to the rear compartment lid with a wax pencil.
5. Remove 1 bolt from each side of the rear compartment lid hinge.
6. With an assistant, remove the remaining 2 bolts from the rear compartment lid hinges.
7. With an assistant, remove the rear compartment lid from the vehicle.




8. If the rear compartment lid is to be replaced, remove the wire harness from the compartment lid and install the wire harness in the same position on the new compartment lid.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant, position the rear compartment lid to the hinges.
2. Install the bolts to the hinges and hand tighten.
Adjust the compartment lid to the previous marks made or align with the surrounding panels.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Connect the electrical connector to the rear shelf panel.
4. Close the rear compartment.
