Underhood Fuse Block
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to disconnect fan control module wiring from module. Additional wiring has been included in harness for diagnosis and service.
3. Remove the fan control module by sliding up and off of bracket. Leaving wiring connected, lay fan control module out of the way.
4. Remove battery hold down/fan control module bracket bolt and bracket.
5. Remove battery.
6. Uncover battery feed on the fuse block cover.
7. Disconnect battery feed to the fuse block.
8. Unsnap the engine cooling hose from the fuse block cover.
9. Push on tabs at the end of the fuse block and lift off cover (2).
10. Push in tabs (3) on the end of the fuse block case and roll back the fuse block (1).
11. Remove connectors.

(2) Forward Lamp 68-Way
(3) I/P 68-Way
(4) Forward Lamp 2-Way (White)
(5) I/P 2-Way (Black)
(6) I/P 2-Way (Green)
(7) I/P 2-Way (Brown)
12. Lift fuse block off the case.
13. Remove routed harnesses. (Engine (A), Forward Lamp (B), and I/P (C).)
IMPORTANT: There are two tabs that hold the hard shell grommets in place at the bottom of the grommet. Disengage these tabs and slide grommet off.
14. Remove bolt on the bottom of the fuse block case and lift case off the battery tray.
INSTALLATION
1. Place fuse block case on battery tray.
2. Line the case up using locator tabs.
3. Install bolt in the bottom of the fuse block case.
4. Route engine harness (A) into the fuse block case. Push grommet until tabs catch.
5. Re-hinge fuse block-to-case.
6. Route I/P (C) and forward lamp (B) harnesses into fuse block case making sure tabs catch.
7. Connect connectors to fuse block.

(3) I/P 68-Way
(4) Forward Lamp 2-Way (White)
(5) I/P 2-Way (Black)
(6) I/P 2-Way (Green)
(7) I/P 2-Way (Brown)
8. Close fuse block and latch (2).
9. Replace fuse block cover and latch.
10. Snap engine cooling hose back in place on the cover.
11. Hook up battery feed to fuse block.
12. Place battery feed cover over battery feed terminal.
13. Make sure battery tray is clean.
IMPORTANT: Battery foam shield must be used or battery life will be reduced.
14. Install battery.
15. Install battery hold down/fan control module bracket bolt and bracket.
16. Tighten bracket bolt.
Torque:
Battery Hold-Down Bracket: 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs)
17. Install the fan control module by sliding down onto battery hold down/fan control module bracket.
18. Connect the positive battery cable.
19. Connect negative battery cable.
