Seat Cushion Frame Replacement (w/ J-Strip)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket (Seat Replacement - Front Bucket).
2. Remove the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner))Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer)).
3. Remove the outer finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner))Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer)).




4. Remove the recliner fasteners.
5. Remove the seat back assembly.




6. Remove the seat cover J-strip from the seat frame at the back of the cushion.




7. If the vehicle is equipped with a heated seat, disconnect the heated seat wiring connector from the seat frame harness.




8. Remove the fasteners and remove the seat cushion frame from the seat adjuster.




9. Remove the trim cover and pad from the seat cushion frame

Installation Procedure

1. Install the seat cushion frame to the cover and pad.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the frame to the seat adjuster and install the fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).




3. Connect the heated seat wiring connector to the seat frame harness.




4. Install the seat cushion cover J-strip to the seat frame at the back of the cushion.




5. Install the seat back assembly and install the recliner fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

6. Install the outer finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner))Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer)).
7. Install the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner))Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer) (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer)).
8. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket (Seat Replacement - Front Bucket).
