Lock Replacement - Rear Door - Lower

Removal Procedure

1. Open the front and rear doors.
2. Remove the rear door outer panel. Refer to Outer Door Panel Replacement Rear - Bolt On (Sedan) ()Outer Door Panel Replacement Rear - Bolt On (Coupe) () .
3. Partially remove the rear door insulator from the bottom of the door, near the lower lock.
4. Remove the rear door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Sedan) (Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Sedan))Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Coupe) (Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Coupe)) .
5. Remove the rear door lower lock fasteners.




6. Remove the rear door lower lock with the cable attached.
7. Remove the rear door lower lock cable from the lower lock.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear door lower lock cable onto the lower lock.
2. Install the rear door lower lock and cable into the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the rear door lower lock fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





4. Install the rear door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Sedan) (Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Sedan))Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Coupe) (Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Coupe)) .
5. Install the rear door insulator where the insulator was partially removed.
6. Install the rear door outer panel link. Refer to Outer Door Panel Replacement Rear - Bolt On (Sedan) ()Outer Door Panel Replacement Rear - Bolt On (Coupe) () .
7. Close the rear and front doors.
