Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Non-Fold Flat)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket (Seat Replacement - Front Bucket) .
2. Remove the front seat head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat (Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat) .
3. Remove the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Fold Flat) (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Fold Flat))Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Non-Fold Flat) (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Non-Fold Flat)) .




4. Position the seat back forward to expose the lower J-hook retainer on the seat back trim cover.
5. Disconnect the J-hook retainer.
6. Position the seat back rearward and pull the trim cover out from between the seat back and the cushion.





Notice: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.

7. Pull the seat back trim cover up. Carefully disengage the hook and loop retainers until the head restraint guides are exposed.




8. Remove the guides from the seat back by squeezing the locking tabs. Pull the guides from the seat back.
9. Pull the trim cover up and off of the seat back.
10. Lift the seat back pad off of the frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the seat back pad on the frame.
2. Install the trim cover over the top of the seat.
3. Install the head restraint guides by pushing the guides through the seat back trim cover, the pad, and the frame until you engage the locking tabs.




4. Continue to install the seat back trim cover, pressing over the hook and loop locations to ensure that all the fasteners engage.
5. Push the trim cover between the seat back and the cushion.




6. Install the lower J-hook retainer at the seat trim cover.
7. Install the front seat head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat (Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat) .
8. Install the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Fold Flat) (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Fold Flat))Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Non-Fold Flat) (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat (Non-Fold Flat)) .
9. Install the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket (Seat Replacement - Front Bucket) .
