Interior - Headliner Separation/Sagging

Headliner Material (Fabric) Sagging or Separating from Substrate
(Replace Headliner)

Models Affected:
2004 Saturn ION Quad Coupe Vehicles

Attention: Fixed Operations Manager and Technician

Condition:

Some customers may comment on headliner material (fabric) hanging down or sagging at rear of headliner.

Cause:

This condition may be caused by the headliner material (fabric) becoming loose (separated) from the headliner substrate.

Correction:

Replace the headliner in vehicles with this condition.

^ If vehicle is not equipped with a sunroof, refer to "Headliner Replacement w/o Sunroof" procedure in the Interior Trim subsection of the Body section of the 2004 Saturn ION Service Manual, Vol. 3 (SI Document ID # 879106).

^ If vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, refer to "Headliner Replacement W/ Sunroof" procedure in the Interior Trim subsection of the Body section of the 2004 Saturn ION Service Manual, Vol. 3 (SI Document ID # 879108).
