Supercharger Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) tube and EVAP valve.
3. Remove the throttle body and gasket. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Remove the supercharger inlet pressure sensor (SCIP).
5. Disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose.
6. Remove the intercooler fill neck bracket bolts.
7. Remove the supercharger . Remove the gasket if damaged.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the supercharger gasket.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
2. Install the supercharger and bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
3. Install the intercooler fill neck bracket bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Connect the vacuum brake booster hose.
5. Install the SCIP sensor and bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
6. Install the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
