Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the compartment door. Refer to Door Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment (Instrument Panel Compartment - Door Replacement).
2. Remove the compartment lamp assembly by pulling on the lamp plunger.
3. Disconnect the connector from the lamp assembly.




4. Remove the retainer from the back of the compartment.




5. Remove the electrical connectors from the body control module (BCM).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the compartment partially into the opening.
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the BCM.




3. Route the glove box lamp wiring harness through the lamp opening. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Push on the lamp assembly until the assembly clicks into place.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the glove compartment fastener.

Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).




6. Install the retainer.
7. Install the compartment door. Refer to Door Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment (Instrument Panel Compartment - Door Replacement).
