Seat Replacement - Front Bucket

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front recliner trim panel by pulling the panel off.
2. On power seats, remove the trim panel from the seat belt webbing by pulling the panel off.




3. Remove the bolt from the shoulder belt. Remove the shoulder belt from the seat frame.
4. Pull the seat assembly slightly rearward to disengage the seat from the front seat track hooks.
5. Tilt the seat rearward and disconnect the seat wiring harnesses.
6. Remove the seat from the vehicle and place on a clean protected work surface.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the seat into the vehicle.
2. Slide the seat into the forward tracks.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Apply Loctite(R) 242 Threadlocker, or an equivalent, to the seat fasteners and install the seat fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).




4. Install the shoulder belt to the seat frame and install the bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

5. Install the front recliner trim panel by pushing the panel into place.
6. On power seats, install the trim panel to the seat belt webbing by pushing the panel into place.




7. Verify the electrical seat components to ensure proper operation.
