Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window (New Style)

Removal Procedure

Important: The old 1-piece weatherstrip design will work in place of the new 2-piece design.





1. Lower the rear door window.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair).
4. Verify if the front weatherstrip guide and weatherstrip is a 1-piece weatherstrip or the new 2-piece design.
5. Remove the bolt from the weatherstrip guide.
6. Remove the weatherstrip guide pressing down and out of the door.
7. Remove the weatherstrip from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the weatherstrip guide to the door by pushing the clip on the guide up into the down slot.
2. Install the weatherstrip to the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the weatherstrip guide bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 (89 lb in).

4. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
5. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair).
6. Inspect the rear door window for proper alignment and operation.
