Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - RearRemoval Procedure
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution.
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the brake rotor.
4. Remove the ABS electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.
5. Remove the wheel hub-to-control arm retaining nuts and discard.
6. Remove the wheel bearing/hub from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the wheel bearing/hub to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the NEW wheel hub-to-control arm retaining nuts. Tighten
^ Tighten the retaining nuts-first pass to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the retaining nuts-final pass torque angle 30 to 45 degrees.
3. Connect the ABS electrical connector to the wheel speed sensor.
4. Install the brake rotor.
5. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
