Latch Replacement - Lift Gate

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lift gate latch.
3. Remove the bolts from the latch.
4. Disconnect the lift gate latch cable from the latch using a small flat-bladed tool.
5. Remove the latch from the lift gate.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the lift gate latch cable to the latch.
2. Install the latch to the lift gate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts to the latch.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 in lb).

4. Connect the electrical connectors to the lift gate latch.
5. Install the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Service and Repair).
