Camshaft Removal





1. Remove the camshaft bearing cap bolts using the loosening sequence.

Notice: Camshaft bearing caps are marked with an L or an R followed by a number. The caps marked with an L are on the rear Bank 1 cylinder head. The caps marked with an R are on the front Bank 2 cylinder head. Do not interchange the caps, or damage to the cylinder head and/or the camshafts may result.

2. Remove the camshaft bearing caps
3. Remove the camshaft seals.
