Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.




2. Using a back-up wrench to support the refrigerant line, remove the refrigerant pressure sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lubricate the pressure port O-ring with mineral oil.

IMPORTANT: Do not use PAG oil.

2. Hand start the refrigerant pressure sensor onto the pressure port.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Using a back-up wrench to support the refrigerant line, tighten the refrigerant pressure sensor.

Tighten the refrigerant pressure sensor to 7 N.m (62 lb in).




4. Connect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
